Doctor discusses how communities can get educated on National Minority Donor Awareness Month


August is National Minority Donor Awareness Month. Out of the 100,000 patients that waiting for lifesaving organ transplants, nearly 60% are from multicultural communities such as African American/Black, Hispanic, Asian Pacific Islander, and Native American.

Here to talk more about this is Dr. Bishoy Emmanuel, a transplant surgeon with the Hartford Hospital Transplant Program.
