Domestic airfare costs go down, number of travelers predicted to rise this summer


Airlines are predicting a record number of travelers this summer because of lower airfares.

The average domestic airfare has dropped to $350 dollars, which is down 16 percent in the last five years.

More than 257 million passengers are expected to fly.  That’s an average of 2.8 million per day.
