Downed power lines in Ellington made safe after falling on excavator and motorcycle


ELLINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — A power line incident on Geraldine Drive and Hill Side Drive in Ellington have caused utility wires to fall on an excavator and motorcycle.

Drivers of both vehicles were instructed to stay put until Eversource could arrive to safely remove the power lines. 

UPDATE at 8:03am: Ellington Police have provided an update that the scene is now safe and Eversource has arrived to remove the downed wires. Both operators of the excavator and motorcycle are safe.
