Drinking alcohol may increase chances of having a stroke


Before you kick back with a drink to start your Friday, check this out.

A new study finds that just one beer or glass of wine a day could increase your risk of having a stroke by as much as 15 percent!

And it went up even more to 35 percent when people had four drinks a day.

The researchers who published the report in the Lancet this week say the key message is that at least for stroke, there’s no protective effect of moderate drinking.
