FARMINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Farmington High School is the latest Connecticut school district to drop their Native American mascot.

The Board of Education voted unanimously to stop using the name “Indians.” The change follows many community discussions on the issue.

The school district expects to make a decision about a new mascot in the spring.
