Hartford Public Schools to receive funding to assist displaced students from Puerto Rico

Hartford Public Schools will receive funding to help displaced Puerto Rican students.

The district will be given nearly $600,000 from the state’s education cost-sharing program.

It will also get $2.2 million in federal aid, according to the Hartford Courant.

There were about 400 displaced students in the Hartford district last year.

This year, there are 258 displaced students.

A public hearing concerning the funding is scheduled to take place on Dec. 17th.
