National Student Clearinghouse: Pandemic caused 10% drop in community college enrollment

(WTNH) — The pandemic is impacting enrollment at the nation’s community colleges.

The National Student Clearinghouse says enrollment dropped ten percent from fall 2019 to fall 2020. It says community colleges were the institutions that were hit the hardest in terms of enrollment declines.

There are several possible explanations, including students delaying going to college until campuses fully reopen.
