Waterbury superintendent to tour schools that improved on state’s school rating

Education

The Waterbury school district is starting the school week off with a big celebration!

School Superintendent Dr. Verna Ruffin and her staff will be visiting ten schools on a bus tour on Monday.

It is all to congratulate students and staff for their exceptional work in making improvements on the state’s accountability index.

The system helps show how well a school is preparing its students for success in college, careers  and life.

Some of Waterbury’s schools have shown growth in math, English and their graduation rate!
