Sleeping Giant State Park will not be ready for Memorial Day weekend

Sleeping Giant State Park in Hamden will not be ready to open to the public for Memorial Day weekend.

However, Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection officials hope the park is ready for the official start of summer on June 21.

At the end of March, we were able to take our drone and explore the top of Sleeping Giant as repairs continue.

Crews are still working along the Tower Trail to clear damaged trees and debris from last May’s devastating storms and tornadoes.
