Families across Fairfield have been left wondering how and where there children will be picked up for the fall 2018 school year.

According to Fairfield Public Schools, the issue is spurned from a software complication that does not allow children and parents to see where the children will be picked up in the morning for school.

This information has been released as school starts for all Fairfield Public Schools on Thursday.

“Dear Parents,

This is to inform you that we are currently working a software issue with the bus transportation information in Infinite Campus.  Within the last 48 hours, approximately 800 students are not able to see bus information in IC for the new year.  Please know we are working the issue and will keep you updated.

In the meantime, please use the bus stop from last year.  Even if your child’s name is not listed, your child will be allowed to ride.

The volume of calls and emails to the Transportation dept. have been too great to respond individually.  Please continue to check IC periodically for updated information.

Dr. Toni Jones

Superintendent of Schools”

Dr. Jones stated that the issue is being resolved as soon as possible.

As a resolution, parents have been told to have their children go to their bus stop locations from the previous years. Any child without their name listed will be provided transportation
