A Farmington day care employee was arrested Friday after a 5-month-old baby in her care was taken to the hospital with injuries last month.
Police say on July 6th, officers were notified by the Department of Children and Families (DCF) of an incident that happened on July 5th at the Scott Swamp Kindercare at 197 Scott Swamp Road.
According to police, a 5-month-old girl had been first taken to Bristol Hospital on July 5th by her parents. She was later transferred that same day to the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center for treatment of her injuries.
An investigation determined that the infant’s minor injuries were sustained while she was under the direct care of Lisa Dalke, who is a Scott Swamp Kindercare employee.
An arrest warrant was then granted and Dalke was charged with risk of injury to a minor and held on $85,000 bond.
Dalke is no longer employed at Scott Swamp Kindercare.
