New Haven police identify 2 pedestrians killed in building crash

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Police have identified the two pedestrians who were killed after a car crashed through a building in New Haven.

The accident occurred on Grand Avenue and Blatchley Avenue just after 11 p.m. Friday night.

Police said they found two pedestrians pinned between the building and the vehicle. They were identified as 43-year-old Carlos Kercado, and 32-year-old Emmanuel Torres, both of New Haven.

The operator is stable and the passenger was treated for minor injuries.

The cause of the crash is still unknown. Information will be released by police when it is available.
