Fire at Windham Recycling Company

News

WINDHAM, Conn. (WTNH)- The Willimantic Fire Department is investigating after a fire at a Waste Paper Company on August 31.

Fire officials say they were called to the building around 1PM, after company employees said they could not put the fire out themselves. Fire officials say the fire was in an excavator in the recycling facility.

Firefighters used about 600 gallons of water and 7.5 gallons of foam concentrate to get that fire under control in about 20 minutes.

Fire officials say the fire is not considered suspicious.
