Fire evacuates UConn Life Sciences building


STORRS, Conn. (WTNH) — A building at the University of Connecticut is being vented out after a fire caused an evacuation Tuesday afternoon.

Around 2:00 p.m., fire crews responded to the Torrey Life Sciences building, located at 75 North Eagleville Road, on the Storrs campus of the university. Officials tell News 8 that the building was evacuated while fire crews extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported.

Firefighters are still on the scene venting the building. It is unclear if there is any significant damage to the building, or when people will be allowed to return inside.
