There are some things most of us just wouldn’t attempt. Running into a burning building might be one. Running 13 miles in full firefighter turnout gear might be another.
Ryan Robeson is a former firefighter from Scranton, Pennyslvania and a current firefighter in New York. He set out to run a half marathon on Sunday in his hometown of Scranton wearing everything a firefighter wears on the job all while breathing from an oxygen tank.
He says he hopes people can appreciate the amount of effort it takes to be a firefighter.
