Former Whiting Forensic nurse on trial for alleged connection to patient abuse


A former nurse is now on trial in connection with a patient abuse scandal at Connecticut’s only maximum-security psychiatric hospital. 

A state jury in Middletown is hearing arguments in the case of Mark Cusson, a former employee at Whiting Forensic

He pleaded not guilty to multiple counts of cruelty. 

10 employees have been arrested in the scandal and nearly 40 employees have been fired.
