GUILFORD, Conn (WTNH) — Well wishes for Nick Fradiani are hanging up just about everywhere in Guilford. Afterall, he’s the talk of the town and much of the state these days.
All the reaction comes after last night’s big win. After months of intense competition, Fradiani was declared the winner of the show’s 14th season.
“I mean it’s a big accomplishment. Nobody from Guilford has done something like that,” said Delila Durmic, a fan of Fradiani’s.
The owners of RVP Studios in West Haven know Fradiani very well because he’s been rehearsing his music their for years.
“He was in total disbelief when he heard his name,” said Greg Trabandt, co-owner of RVP Studios. “You could see it in his face.”
Fradiani’s success started as a simple idea just last year. “He’s like hey man, I think I’m going to try out for American Idol this year. Give it a shot and see what happens,” said Trabandt. “And look at the run.”
Now the country knows just how talented he is. Fradiani already has a record deal and will start working on his album while he accepts his new-found fame.
“At the studio we all just walk around dumb-founded. Can you believe it,” said Rose Coppola, co-owner of RVP Studios. “This is our boy.”
