Ganim speaks at New Haven forum Friday

The Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce held their sixth Gubernatorial Forum Friday morning, and this week’s guest was Democratic Candidate Joe Ganim.

Ganim spoke to members of the business community and some concerned residents. He discussed Connecticut’s economy, improving schools, and his accomplishments as Mayor of Bridgeport.

Some people expressed concern about spending in our state, as well as help for youth when it comes to substance abuse.

Ganim addressed all of those issues, while stressing the importance of voting in the upcoming primary on August 14th.

“I want everybody to be part of a better Connecticut, so I come at this against what’s going on, against what’s happens, state government, with experience to fix it. So August 14th becomes a critical day for people to come out and vote and support me.”

The next forum will be held next Friday with Republican Candidate Bob Stefanowski.
