General Dynamics worker charged for allegedly threatening employees at Groton facility

A General Dynamics employee is under arrest, accused of threatening the lives of several employees at the Groton facility.

According to police, 39-year-old Edward Lesniak of Coventry, R.I. was arrested at JFK Airport on Saturday as he attempted to re-enter the country.

Police said Lesniak is employed by General Dynamics overseas and made direct threats to specific employees.

This appears to be an isolated incident.

Lesniak was detained by federal customs agents.

Police searched his home in Rhode Island and seized a rifle and multiple handguns.

Lesniak is being held on a $200,000 bond.
