Giant bee sculptures to swarm New Britain

Giant bees are swarming into New Britain on Tuesday.

But don’t panic, these are six foot, fiberglass bee sculptures that are all part of a public art project.

Over the next month, local artists will paint the creatures and transform them into works of art!

And starting in May, they’ll be displayed in the City’s Central Park.

New Britain Mayor Erin Stewart, members of the Greater New Britain Arts Alliance, and local artists and business owners, will welcome the arrival of the sculptures at 11 a.m. at Anvil Place at 55 West Main Street.
