Hartford man arrested with illegal guns and drugs


HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – Hartford police have arrested a man who they say had illegal guns, a large amount of crack cocaine, and marijuana.  Monday around 4:10 p.m., the Hartford Police Special Operations Group executed a search warrant at 34 Greenfield Street.  They arrested Jahmar Maddox, 34, of Hartford.  Maddox is no stranger to police, Hartford police have arrested him 15 times before.   Police say one of the guns he had was reported stolen in Massachusetts, and the second had a filed-off serial number.  Police say someone held up Maddox with a gun on Enfield street early that same morning.

Maddox is facing a list of charges including two counts of Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Theft of a Firearm, and Possession of Narcotics with Intent to Sell.
