Hartford Police arrest burglar, recover stolen car

Hartford Police have recovered a stolen car containing several items reported stolen from a previous burglary. 

On Friday afternoon, members of the Hartford Police Auto Theft Unit discovered a 2013 Ford Fusion that was previously reported stolen from New Britain

Officials say the car was also reported to have been involved in a home burglary in Southington. 

Police stopped the vehicle and arrest the driver without incident. The passenger of the car was also transported to the Major Crimes Division for debriefing. 

Police have charged 26-year-old Generoso Matos, of Bristol, on charges ranging from larceny to operating a vehicle without an owner’s permission.
