Hartford police assist West Hartford PD with robbery arrest

News

Hartford police officers assisted West Hartford police in executing a felony warrant on Tuesday.

West Hartford officers had a felony arrest warrant out for Samuel DeSilva for an armed robbery with a firearm that took place in their jurisdiction.

West Hartford police allegedly saw DeSilva enter the first floor of the apartment on Flatbush Avenue and set up a perimeter. Hartford officials helped with establishing the perimeter, while West Hartford officers entered the apartment and took DeSilva in to custody. The authorities from Hartford remained on scene until their assistance was no longer needed.

The firearm used in the armed robbery has not been found. DeSilva was charged with robbery with a firearm.
