Hartford police identify man found dead in Pope Park


The Hartford Police Department is investigating after a body was found at Pope Park, early Monday morning. 

Police say that 49-year-old Shawn Robin Rhodes from Hartford was found dead with two gunshot wounds in Pope Park at Park/Laurel Street at around 2 a.m.

Police say that their Major Crimes unit responded to the scene and that this is now a homicide investigation. This is the 19th homicide in Hartford in 2018.
