Hartford police investigating armed robbery at MetroPCS

Police in Hartford are investigating an armed robbery at a MetroPCS store on Wednesday.

According to officials, units received a robbery complaint around 3:35 p.m.

Authorities responded to the scene at 1297 Main Street where the cashier said a man entered the store with a silver handgun and demanded money. Police stated that the cashier complied and gave the suspect an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspect was last seen fleeing on foot and traveling south down Main Street.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
