Hartford Rail Line on the right track


The new Connecticut-Hartford line seems to be on the right track to success.

Governor Malloy announced Friday that the line saw a total of more than 69,000 passenger trips during its first six weeks of operation. 

The average “week-day”  ridership on the Hartford line is now just above 1,800 riders. The Hartford line is on track to exceed the first year ridership goal. 

The line makes more than a dozen trips between New Haven and Hartford everyday. 

The 765 million dollar project started more than a decade ago.
