Hartford water main break impacting traffic

A water main break has closed a road in Hartford and impacted the morning commute Wednesday.

MDC crews confirmed to News 8 that crews are on scene repairing a 16 inch water main break on Collins Street. There is water in the roadway.

According to Hartford police, Collins Street is closed from Garden Street to Sumner Street.

However, Ashley Street, Garden Street and Frase Place have all reopened.

It is unclear when the road is expected to reopen or if any homes were impacted by the water shutdown.
