Blumenthal issues warning over deadly opioid

There is a new warning over a deadly opioid that is ten times more powerful than the drug  Fentanyl.

It is called “Dsuvia.” The U.S. Food and Drug Administration recently approved the drug which is restricted to be used only in hospitals.

But now critics, including U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, say the opioid will help fuel the ongoing crisis.

The senator will be at the East Hartford Public Safety Complex with law enforcement officials and public health advocates to discuss the drug on Tuesday morning.
