NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Could you be a bone marrow match for someone in need? This Thursday you’ll have a chance to be tested to see if you could help save someone’s life.

The 6th annual “Be a Donor Drive” will be held at the Yale Commons. All you need is a cheek swab to find out if you can help.

The event is in honor of former Yale hockey standout Mandi Schwartz, who lost her battle with Leukemia four years ago.

If you’re interested in participating you can head to the Yale Commons on Thursday between 10 a-m and 5 p-m to get tested.
