Hartford HealthCare expert discusses COVID-19 and drug overdoses

(WTNH)– The CDC recently revealed a dramatic increase in overdose deaths. They say the biggest jump in deaths happened in April and May of last year, when COVID fears were running rampant and almost everyone was quarantining.

Vice President of Addiction Services at the Hartford HealthCare Behavioral Health Network, Doctor Craig Allen, discusses the impact of COVID on people struggling with addiction and the obstacles to recovery for those battling substance abuse in the video above.
