Doctors say relying only on thermography for breast cancer screening not enough

A warning has been issued for women who only rely on thermography for breast cancer screening.

Many patients choose the test which uses infrared images to detect the first signs of the disease because it doesn’t involve radiation.

Although it’s approved by the FDA, doctors said it is not enough on its own. 

The agency recommends a routine mammogram as a gold standard for breast cancer screening.
