Flu activity remains widespread in most states as season winds down


Flu season is coming to a close, but most states, including Connecticut, are still seeing an unusually high number of people getting the virus. 

The flu is considered widespread in 33 states and Puerto Rico.

Doctors said although the strain is not as deadly as it was last season, the number of people who have died is still concerning. 

Meanwhile, scientists at the National Institutes of Health have started testing the new universal flu shot on the very first human patients this week.
