Genetic testing could help identify prostate cancer in family history, according to medical expert


NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Prostate cancer is the second leader cause of cancer death in American men, behind lung cancer. But did you know that there is a known link to family history?

Genetic counselor Dr. Susan Capasso of St. Vincent’s Medical Center spoke with News 8 about the familial component in the disease and genetic testing.
