NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — An upcoming screening of a film that discusses maternal health disparities in Black women hopes to highlight the crucial issue to the community.

Daileann Hemmings, the director of maternal health equity at Hartford HealthCare, joined News 8 to discuss the difference in outcomes and what Hartford HealthCare is doing to bridge the gap.

The film will be shown at 10 a.m. on April 15 at the Yard Goat Club, located at 1214 Main Street in Hartford.
