Neurosurgeon discusses uptick of injuries during the holidays

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — This is the time of year where doctors will often see an uptick in injuries, specifically involving the neck and back.

Whether it’s lifting heavy boxes or decorations, shoveling snow, or falling on a slippery surface, the injury may require medical attention.

Dr. Gregory Kuzmik, a neurosurgeon with Hartford HealthCare’s Ayer Neuroscience Institute in Meriden and North Haven, discussed these injuries.
