HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – Mental health issues are on the rise, in large part due to COVID-19. More and more patients in crisis have been seeking help in hospital emergency rooms.

There’s a special initiative called Purple Light Project created to help and support these individuals. Erica Moura, a social worker and assessment center manager at Hartford HealthCare’s Institute of Living.
