(WTNH)– There will be several free or low cost flu clinics happening Saturday for State Flu Vaccination Day.
In an effort to reduce the spread of the flu virus, which has already heavily impacted the state, the Connecticut Department of Public Health is working with local health departments to provide free or low cost flu vaccines at several locations across Connecticut. Residents who are over the age of 6 months are strongly urged by the DPH to get a flu shot.Related: New Haven Health Department helps prevent the spread of the flu
You are asked to bring an insurance card to the clinic, if you have one. According to the Department of Health, your insurance will be billed a small administration fee but you will not be charged out of pocket.
