(WTNH) — The idea of getting student-athletes back on the field during the pandemic is something state health officials have been watching carefully.

Stefanie Bourassa, Hartford HealthCare’s Sports Medicine Clinical Program Director, Bone & Joint Institute, joined News 8 to discuss this topic further.

Bourassa encourages athletes to focus on conditioning and to not overwork themselves in order to prevent injury.
