There is a startling new danger of smoking while pregnant

Researchers said just one cigarette a day during pregnancy can double the chance of a baby’s sudden, unexpected death.

The large-scale study was just published in the Journal of Pediatrics. It analyzed over 20 million births.

Self-reported statistics showed more than 300,000 women in the United States admitted to smoking during pregnancy.
