Study shows flavored e-cigs could be harmful to our health

Using e-cigarettes and vaping have become a common way to breathe nicotine

It comes in a dazzling variety of flavors. But are they safe?

Researchers from Duke and Yale say the flavoring compounds used in e-cigarettes, combined with the e-liquid solvent, can form a new compound that may give us all health concerns.

In their study, upwards of 40% of flavor chemical was converted to new chemicals that enter the lungs, and these new chemicals are often not reported as ingredients on the package.

They may lead to lung irritation.

More studies are needed to understand the long-term effects of these chemicals on humans, but this may be another reason for you to put down that e-cigarette.
