UN: ‘Superbugs’ a global crisis

The United Nations is now calling “superbugs” a global crisis. 

In a new report, leaders said 700,000 people die from drug-resistant diseases worldwide every year.

The tolerance is making diseases more difficult to treat and surgeries riskier to perform. 

A professor at the Yale School of Public Health says more needs to be done system-wide to protect against superbugs.
