Housing funds running out for Puerto Rican’s displaced by Hurricane Maria

(WTNH) — Financial aid for housing Puerto Ricans who were displaced by Hurricane Maria and brought to Connecticut in 2017 is running out.

More than $900,000 was provided by the stat and non-profits to help families find apartments and pay rent.

That money came after money from another program ran out last September.

More than 13,000 people came to our state after the 2017 storm devastated the island.
