Hundreds of runners honor fallen Madison hero Saturday


Hundreds of people running in the mud Saturday to honor a fallen hero in Guilford.

About 500 filled the fairgrounds Saturday morning to tackle the 5K.

All of them honoring Captain Andew Pederson Keel. He lived in Madison and was in the Army’s Special Forces.

He died while serving overseas in 2013. Since then, his parents started the APK Charities Corporation in his honor. 

The non-profit helps veterans organizations.
