Interstate 91 northbound has reopened in Windsor Friday morning after a vehicle fire closed part of the highway.

The Department of Transportation says that I-91 northbound was congested between exits 35 and 37 because of a vehicle accident that led to a fire between exits 36 and 37, just after 8 a.m.

The incident closed the two left lanes, according to State Police. However, the entire highway has since reopened to traffic.

There is no word on if anyone was injured or what caused the accident.

Drivers may still experience delays in the area.
