President Trump cancels new sanctions against North Korea

International

President Trump is cancelling new sanctions against North Korea just one day after they were announced.

National Security Advisor John Bolton and Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin announced the sanctions Thursday.

On Friday, the president overruled both of them.

The White House Press Secretary says it’s because he likes Kim Jong Un and doesn’t think the sanctions are necessary.
