A merchant ship believed to be around 3,600 years old has been found off Turkey’s Mediterranean coast.
A 46-foot long shipwreck was discovered by an underwater research team from Southern Turkey. Officials are calling the discovery a ‘breakthrough’ in underwater archaeology.
They say it dates back to 1600 B.C., and that the ship was carrying the earliest industrial products in the world.
According to aa.com, it is believed that a storm sunk the ship.
