Joe Biden makes first public appearance since he was accused of inappropriate touching

News

Former Vice President Joe Biden was taking a lighter tone during his first public appearance since he was accused of inappropriate touching.

Biden joked twice about having permission to touch people at a union conference for electrical workers in Washington, D.C.

“You know, as they say in parts of my old neighborhood in scranton, you guys brung me to the dance. You really did.” Joe Biden said, “I just want you to know, I had permission to hug Lonny.”

Speaking to reporters later on, Biden said he’s sorry he didn’t understand more, but not sorry for any of his intentions.

The Democrat also hinted he’d be making an announcement on his 2020 plans soon.
