Killingworth residents take a stand against proposed solar farm

Some people in Killingworth are trying to put a stop to plans for a solar farm.

Citizens say the proposal will destory the forestland next to Chatfield Hollow State Park

They say the are also contains historical stone walls and Native American artifacts.

“I believe it’s more than a farm. I believe it’s more of a generating facility. A bit large. I am not opposed to what solar power does, but I am opposed to it being held on this parcel,” Mary Ann Little, resident.

“I think a lot of people are for solar in the town of Killingworth. But we had lack of information and didn’t know this was happening till the last minute,” Linda Anderson, resident.

Killingworth is holding a series of public hearings on the plans for the site.
