Lamont picks ‘talent search’ committee

News

The Governor-Elect announced Monday that he has appointed two men as co-chairs of his Talent
Search Committee.

One was Kevin Myatt of Branford, who is senior vice president of human resources at Yale-New Haven Hospital, one of the New Haven region’s largest employers.

Joining him is John Denson of Darien, who is a senior partner at Korn Ferry, a huge international executive search firm in Stamford.

Lamont said, “We’re going to professionalize this search process in a serious way, and one of the things I find is ever since we got Lamonttransition.org up and we’ve had, I think, hundreds of resumes are coming across our desk. We want to look at people who want to serve this state.”

Lamont added that he is meeting with current state commissioners and does not rule out keeping some on, but quickly added that he wants a lot of new people in his administration.
