Lawmakers discuss gun violence prevention on anniversary of ‘March for Our Lives’

State lawmakers came together to commemorate the one year anniversary of ‘March For Our Lives‘ on Tuesday. 

Connecticut Senators Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy, as well as Representatives Ted Deutch, Mike Thompson, Eric Swalwell and Robin Kelly, joined leaders from the historic March on Washington to address gun violence.

The lawmakers discussed the progress that has been made on gun violence prevention legislation and what more they would like to see moving forward.  

The event took place on the House Triangle in Washington D.C.

On March 24, 2018, marches took place in 800 locations around the world and over one million people participated in marches in just the United States.  It was one of the largest marches on Washington in history.
